India to build 24 green cities on DMIC

One of the largest infrastructure projects in the country, the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), will have 24 green cities. These cities will have better public transport facilities, optimised power supplies, 24-hour water supply, waste and water recycling plants.

The DMIC is being built with major help from Japan and seeks to upgrade nine mega industrial zones. It will also connect the country's political and financial capitals. Madhya Pradesh, which is part of the DMIC corridor, too will see big investment.
